OTTAWA - Unnamed sources within the New Democratic Party Central Committee have confirmed that both the Federal party and it's provincial surrogates will be changing the name of their political affiliation to the ehOC. The move comes after the 2019 election that saw Canada's socialist party lose close to 40% of their seats in Parliament and receive 600,000 less votes than in 2015 -an election which also saw the NDP decimated at the polls from their previous numbers. In response, the new New Democratic Party has decided to invite Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Congresswoman who identifies as a "Democratic-Socialist" to assume leadership of the Party and rename said party the ehOC in her honor.

"We've done a great job of driving socialism in Canada into the ground" said one party insider. "Most of our base decided that instead of voting for Jagmeet Singh, they should vote for the Crony Capitalism of Justin Trudeau or the xenophobia of the Bloc Quebecois." This rational has led insiders to believe a serious re branding and new leader are in order.

The ehOC also believe that such an avenue will give them a strong campaign message in the next election, with campaign signs reading "If you don't vote for us, you're sexist", keeping in line with the strong political shaming message that has been the party's mainstay for the last decade.
