OTTAWA - The PMO confirmed today that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be banning several symbols deemed dangerous or inflammatory in the current culture. Trudeau will be classifying these as Hate Symbols and added to the Hatred Offenses Section of the Canadian Criminal Code in an upcoming Order In Council. Most notable is the Hammer and Sickle, a symbol widely used by left-wing authoritarian extremists and former emblem of the USSR.
"The Soviet Union was responsible for mass murders throughout the twentieth century, and people interested in displaying or wearing their symbol are advocating policies similar to those who brandish a swastika" said one source close to the Prime Minister, "with genocides against Muslims and Hebrews; invading nations such as Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Afghanistan; massacres of Ukrainians, Chechnyans and Armenians within their borders; and authoritarian stances on personal freedoms including executions of LGBTQ persons and the prolific concentration camps known as gulags; the Prime Minister believes anyone who would wear that symbol should be ashamed."
Justin Trudeau had previously praised communist leaders and admired their "Basic Dictatorship". This changed when the Prime Minister learned that one of the central tenants of the Soviet Union and its socialist principles was that no individual could receive an inheritance, therefore his 14 Million dollar trust-fund would be confiscated, Trudeau informed his staff of the new Order In Council to be written shortly thereafter.
Trudeau specifically chose to make these additions through the Order In Council Process, similar to how he banned several paintball guns and a coffee company as "military satyle assault weapons, instead of using democratic legislation to avoid opposition party questioning of his decision.
The Prime Minister has not been shy about renaming Canadian Institutions during his administration, changing "Langevin Block" to "Office of the Prime Minister". Several other institutions are expected to be renamed as well: including The Laurier Club: A Liberal Party fundraising organization named after Wilfred Laurier who raised the Chinese Head-Tax and prevented ethnic East Indians and Africans from emigrating to Canada; and McGill University - Trudeau's alma mater named after slave-owner James McGill.
